Abstract
Background: Many pregnant women experience anemia during pregnancy because pregnant women experience physiological changes in each trimester, causing low hemoglobin levels. Giving purple sweet potato is a complementary therapy that can help mothers in increasing hemoglobin levels.
Methods: : The search method for ths article uses the keyword purple sweet potato for anemia pregnant women, iron ad purple sweet potao from the garuda, DOAJ and google scholar portal database. Metod of article to be reviewed and articles published at least 5 yaer and under.
Results: Several articles state that giving purple seeet potato in the form of stew, snack and sulfactants can increase hemoglobin levels because purple sweet potato are rih in iron levels of 4 mg and vitamin C 20 mg.
Conclusion: Purple sweet potato is an alternative food that can help increase hemoglobin levels in red blood cells in pregnant women.
