Abstract
Background: Indonesia is still struggling against the Corona virus to date, the same as other countries in the world. Health workers as the front guard are people who have a high risk of transmission of the Covid 19 virus, so there is a need for compliance for health workers to use personal protective equipment in providing health services to the community.
Objective: To determine the factors related to compliance with the use of personal protective equipment for health workers during the Covid 19 Pandemic Period at the Buntok Health Center, South Barito Regency.
Methods: The research method used was analytic survey method with cross sectional approach. The population is 112 people in 2020 and a sample of 30 health workers. The data were collected using a questionnaire that was distributed in tabulated form and analyzed using the Chi Square Test.
Results: As many as 19 people (63.3%) obeyed, 5 people (16.7%) lacked knowledge, 16 people (53.3%) had negative attitudes, 11 people (36.7%) lacked motivation. There is a relationship between knowledge and compliance with the use of personal protective equipment (p value = 0.007 <α0.05). There is a relationship between attitude and compliance with the use of personal protective equipment (p value = 0.000 <α0.05). There is a relationship between motivation and compliance with the use of personal protective equipment (p value = 0.000 <α0.05).
Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, it is known that knowledge, attitudes and motivation have a significant relationship with compliance with the use of personal protective equipment for health workers during the Covid 19 Pandemic Period at Buntok Health Center, South Barito Regency.
