Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is one of the metabolic diseases that is a serious concern worldwide as much as 4 5. Its prevalence will continue to increase and is estimated to reach 5.4% in 2025. Diabetes is a syndrome characterized by increased blood glucose levels due to decreased cycle secretion. Lack of knowledge and understanding of the elderly about the dangers of diabetes, its prevention and control has led to an increase in this disease in the community. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge of the elderly about DM and to conduct blood sugar checks at the Rindang Kenari VIII Posyandu. The education provided is in the form of providing solutions and early prevention because it provides knowledge about managing diabetes mellitus, including regulating a healthy diet, regular exercise, monitoring blood sugar levels and managing stress. This is done with the aim that the elderly can take appropriate action in managing their condition and preventing complications that may arise. The service methods provided include education about DM and blood sugar checks targeting the elderly at the Rindang Kenari VIII Posyandu. Based on the results of the activity, the total number of participants who received education related to DM was 30 participants. Blood sugar examination found 15 participants had normal blood sugar (50%), 10 participants had prediabetes (33.3%), and 5 participants had diabetes (16.7%). It is expected that the elderly can do blood sugar checks routinely and can follow the education conducted by the health center every month.
