Abstract

Community empowerment through motorbike maintenance training is a form of community service. This is done to increase the expertise of the KM 15 community, Karang Joang Village, North Balikpapan. The ultimate goal of each given activity is to improve the quality of human resources (HR). HR is the subject or at the same time the object of development, covering the entire human life
cycle, from the womb to the end of life. Therefore the development of human quality is very important, especially from small things. Based on the cycle above, it is necessary to have an effort to provide alternative solutions that can improve the quality of one of them regarding vehicle maintenance knowledge. Community service activities were carried out by ITK Mechanical Engineering lecturers and UKM SAA (Student Automotive Association). The general activities carried out are divided into 2, namely automotive training (referred to as SAA Delegates) and
free servicing. Training (SAA Delegates) is carried out by holding outreach and training on how to service and maintain motorised vehicles. After being provided with materials on motorcycle vehicle maintenance, the community is equipped with motorcycle maintenance practices with the hope that the community can independently open workshop stands (independent workshops)
