Abstract
Background: COVID-19 is a contagious disease that can cause disease in animals and humans. Pregnant women have a 13.7% risk of contracting COVID-19 compared to non-pregnant women. In pregnant women who are exposed to COVID-19, there are fears of preterm birth, preeclampsia, birth by cesarean section to perinatal death
Purpose: Provide an overview of the types of childbirth and complications in mothers with COVID-19 at dr. H. Moch Ansari Saleh Banjarmasin 2021-2022.
Methods: This research is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach, taking a total sample of 114 pregnant women, the type of data taken is secondary data. Data analysis was carried out using Univariate Analysis.
Results: The results showed that the type was 63 mother (55.3%) gave birth spontaneously, 50 mother (43.8%) gave birth artificially, 1 mother (0.9%) gave birth spontaneously recommendation of delivery of 114 mother with COVID-19. The most complications for pregnant women with COVID-19 were Preeclampsia, 27 mother (23.7%), Bleeding, 3 mother (2.6%), and 18% experienced other complications, and 63 mother who did not experience complications (55.3%).
Conclusion: Of 114 mothers with COVID-19, 55.3% gave birth spontaneously. The most common complications were preeclampsia (63.5%), premature rupture of membranes (21%) and pneumonia (16%).
