Abstract
Background: Postpartum blues is a postpartum mood disorder in the form of sadness or moodiness after giving birth. Postpartum blues in the mother will inhibit the release of oxytocin which ultimately reduces the production of breast milk (breast milk). In 2020 the number of postpartum mothers is 189 people, in 2021 the number of post partum mothers is 172 people and in 2022 the number of post partum mothers is 168 people.
Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge and access to information with the risk of postpartum blues in postpartum women in the Sungai Bali Community Health Center, Kotabaru District.
Methods: This study used an analytic survey with a cross-sectional approach. The population is 30 people. 30 postpartum mothers in January 2023 in the working area of the Sungai Bali Health Center, Kotabaru Regency. Data collection used a questionnaire which was analyzed in the form of a frequency distribution and analyzed using the chi square test with an error rate of 5%.
Results: The majority of respondents with less knowledge were 20 people (64.5%), access to information was lacking as many as 21 people (67.7%), the category at risk of post partum blues was 22 people (71%). There is a relationship between knowledge and the risk of postpartum blues in postpartum women (p value = 0.000 <0.05). There is a relationship between access to information and the risk of postpartum blues in postpartum women (p value = 0.000 <0.05).
Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge and access to information with the risk of postpartum blues in postpartum women.
