F Factors That Influence The Incidence Of Preeclampsia In Women Giving Birth At Bhayangkara Hospital, Banjarmasin

Abstract

Background: Preeclampsia can occur during the antenatal, intranatal and postnatal periods. Mothers who experience hypertension due to pregnancy range from 10%, 3-4% of whom experience preeclampsia, 5% experience hypertension and 1-2% experience chronic hypertension. The impact that preeclampsia can have on the mother is premature birth, oliguria, death, while the impact on the baby, namely stunted fetal growth, oligohydramnios, can also increase morbidity and mortality.


Objective: To determine the risk factors for preeclampsia in pregnant women who give birth at Bhayangkara Hospital, Banjarmasin.


Method: Cross sectional analytical research with a retrospective time approach. The population in this study was all preeclamptic pregnant women who gave birth at Bhayangkara Hospital, Banjarmasin from 2021 to 2023. The total sampling technique was 231 people. Bivariate analysis used chi square and Fisher exact.


Results: There is no relationship between age, history of preeclampsia, history of hypertension and history of diabetes mellitus with the incidence of preeclampsia with the results of age analysis p value 0.273 (>0.05), diabetes mellitus p value 0.103 (>0.05), preeclampsia p value 0.572 (>0.05), hypertension p value 0.190 (>0.05). While the variable parity p value 0.002 (<0.05) has a relationship with the incidence of preeclampsia in pregnant women who deliver at Bhayangkara Banjarmasin Hospital.


Conclusion: Parity factors have been proven to have a relationship with the incidence of preeclampsia in pregnant women who give birth at Bhayangkara Banjarmasin Hospital.
