S Smart Community Movement To Use Medicine Through DAGUSIBU

Increasing public knowledge regarding how to use medicines properly and correctly is one effort to improve the level of public health. Lack of public knowledge causes a lot of drug abuse, and the result of this abuse is the emergence of unwanted side effects that can even cause drug resistance, especially antibiotics. This Community Service activity aims to increase public knowledge about good and correct drug management through the DAGUSIBU counselling program. This activity was carried out for three days on 3 - 5 July 2023 using the lecture method, question and answer as well as giving leaflets containing material about DAGUSIBU with a total of 40 participants, namely patients who came to the pharmacy to redeem prescriptions or buy medicine. Based on the results of the interviews obtained, most of the counselling participants did not know how to obtain, use, store and dispose of medicines properly and correctly. GEMA CERMAT through DAGUSIBU can provide knowledge to the public regarding how to manage drugs so that with this knowledge it is hoped that the public can avoid drug abuse and unwanted medication side effects.
