Abstract

Breast milk (ASI) is the most perfect food for babies, especially in the first month of life. However, smooth breastfeeding is often hampered, especially in the first days after giving birth. This is due to the influence of the hormone oxytocin which is still lacking and is also influenced by the lack of stimulation from the baby's sucking. One effort to increase breast milk production is by doing oxytocin massage. This community service aims to increase the knowledge of postpartum mothers and families about oxytocin massage to increase breast milk production.  Health education was given to 15 postpartum mothers who were accompanied by their husbands/their families in the Jade Room at RSUD dr. Slamet Garut with material on definitions, benefits, massage locations, oxytocin massage methods and oxytocin massage practices carried out by families for postpartum mothers. There was an increase in knowledge about oxytocin massage from an average pre-test score of 73 to a post-test average of 90, and all participants (100%) were able to perform oxytocin massage correctly.
