Abstract

For pregnant women with limited health literacy, information about antenatal care is more difficult to understand. Thus, pregnant women tend to make informed medical decisions. This information literacy ability will be better owned by a pregnant woman in dealing with her pregnancy until the delivery process, so that it can run smoothly and provide a safe effect on the health of the mother and baby. This community service activity aims to assess the level of health literacy in pregnant women about pregnancy care, nutrition and preparation for childbirth. The method used is Focus Discussion Group (FGD) through facilitation using the pocket book "Keeping Pregnant Women and Fetuses Healthy Smart" in the Tapos Depok Health Center Working Area. The sample in this study were 35 pregnant women. The results of this activity have made a positive contribution in increasing community knowledge and understanding related to pregnancy. The pocket book as a practical information media has succeeded in providing guidance that is easily understood and accessed by various levels of society. Hopefully the pocket book that has been provided can continue to be a practical guide for the community in facing the journey of pregnancy. Hopefully the information received can be the basis for the right decision in caring for yourself and the unborn baby.
