Abstract

Health and nutrition during the First 1000 Days of Life (HPK) in Indonesia is a major concern, especially anemia in pregnant women which impacts the health of the mother, child, and long-term quality of life. WHO noted the high prevalence of anemia, especially among pregnant women in Indonesia. This activity aims to overcome the high rate of anemia in pregnant women in the working area of Puskesmas Martapura I by implementing an anemia bag program Through a collaborative approach between midwives, cadres, and the community, the anemia bag program is carried out by providing education to pregnant women, registering them, and monitoring their anemia condition using anemia bags. The activity was carried out at the Cindai Alus Village Hall involving 11 cadres on December 13, 2023. Preliminary evaluation showed that the anemia bag program has successfully filled anemia bags and provided education to pregnant women. Although it has not been possible to evaluate hemoglobin levels, this activity is expected to help reduce anemia rates in pregnant women. The anemia bag program is an innovative solution to overcome anemia in pregnant women in the Martapura I Puskesmas working area. By involving cadres and midwives, it is hoped that this program can continue and have a positive impact in dealing with anemia in pregnant women. Furthermore, further evaluation and increased community participation are needed to ensure the sustainability of this program.
