Abstract

Stunting is a condition of chronic malnutrition caused by malnutrition over a long period of time. Stunting or short stature has a significant negative impact on sufferers and the Indonesian population, patients have a stature that remains shorter than those of normal height throughout adulthood, lower IQ, more susceptible to disease, more likely to be overweight and obese, and are more likely to develop non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Stunting often occurs in Central Kalimantan with a rate of 27.4%. This prevalence is higher than the country average of 24.4%. The prevalence of stunting in Central Kalimantan ranks 14th highest in Indonesia out of 34 provinces. The "DASHAT TALAKAI" Healthy Kitchen activity to overcome stunting with kelakai plants is an innovation and intervention activity with subtle steps in the method of providing counseling and cooking demonstrations as well as providing pocket books related to making food made from local kelakai. As a prevention of nutritional problems for several parties related to nutritional problems/stunting. Activities were carried out at Posyandu Kasih Bunda, Mangkawuk Village, District. West Rungan, Kab. Gunung Mas, Prov. Central Kalimantan. Participants are taught how to make MP-ASI from simple local ingredients from kelakai that are easy to obtain, but are rich in nutrients and taste delicious. Hopefully this activity will make a meaningful contribution to increasing health information and public awareness in providing nutrient-rich food to toddlers and the benefits can be felt more widely
