Abstract

Health behaviors in adolescents can have an impact on their adulthood and have a significant impact on the health of future generations. A follow-up study found that more than 8 out of 10 adults who regularly smoke report starting smoking in adolescence. A growing body of evidence suggests that adolescence is an important time for shaping health behaviors that influence conception; Therefore there is a need to identify specific risks and protective factors. Given the importance of forming healthy behaviors since adolescence, adolescents need to get the right education and information about it and the impact that will be caused if it does not form healthy living behaviors. Education related to cigarette use has often been done. However, educational activities about the dangers of cigarettes mostly still focus on the dangers of conventional cigarettes (tobacco cigarettes). There are still not many educational activities related to the dangers of electronic cigarettes for health, especially for adolescents in Sungai Ulin Village, North Banjarbaru District, Banjarbaru City. The method of this activity is the provision of information in the form of counseling through the stages of preparation, implementation, and evaluation. This activity was attended by 40 teenagers, health cadres and community leaders. Starting with the distribution of leaflets, delivering material with poster media, then continued discussion and evaluation through educational practices by Youth Posyandu cadres. The activity went smoothly. All cadres of Youth Integrated Service Post have understood and can educate other teenagers during Youth Integrated Service Post. The activity continued by distributing leaflets and posters through WhatsApp groups, Public Health Center and schools.
