Abstract

The health of pregnant women is one of the national health indicators. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2019, approximately 295,000 women in developing or lower middle income countries died due to complications during pregnancy or childbirth. ANC is used to ensure that the pregnancy process runs normally, so that complications that may occur can be detected early and treated adequately. At UPT Puskesmas Babirik, in 2023 there will be 347 pregnant women. Of the 347 people, only 19 pregnant women saw a midwife. Based on this, to overcome this problem, midwives need to visit pregnant women's homes to provide education to pregnant women to have pregnancy checks early in pregnancy. In this case, the activity "BAKEMAH (Midwives Visit Pregnant Women's Homes)" is designed as a service effort to provide knowledge and understanding to pregnant women about the importance of maintaining their own health and that of the fetus they are carrying. The method used is giving the K1 "Bakemah" sticker. The results of the activity showed an increase in pregnant women's knowledge about the importance of examinations early in pregnancy. As a result of the evaluation of pregnant women, they felt enthusiastic and in the future they wanted to carry out examinations at posyandu and other health facilities
