H Healthy and Happy Children with OCID: Optimization of Complete Basic Immunization Coverage in Paku Alam Village

Children are required to receive five complete basic immunizations consisting of: 1 dose of BCG, 3 doses of DPT-Hb-Hib, 4 doses of polio, 3 doses of hepatitis B, and 1 dose of measles. A person's behavior regarding health is influenced by the level of knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, traditions, work, availability of health service facilities, attitudes and behavior of health workers in providing information also influences people's behavior. Data from the Paku Alam Village Posyandu shows that the target coverage for immunization in 2023 is 30 people, while data from the field shows that there are 27 babies and toddlers who have not met the complete basic immunization target. The figure obtained is a significant figure, namely that around 90% of the target has not been met. The method of this activity is in the form of providing educational innovation, namely health education in optimizing complete basic immunization coverage, targeting parents who have children aged 0 - 1 year, pregnant women and cadres in Paku Alam Village. This educational class activity was attended by 30 participants, consisting of pregnant women, babies/toddlers and their parents, as well as local cadres. In total, 3 pregnant women attended, 27 babies/toddlers. The education material consists of understanding Complete Basic Immunization, types of diseases that can be avoided from the benefits of immunization, as well as how to handle post-immunization pain. The activity continued with providing immunization material using leaflets, power points, innovations in the form of OCID pocket books and complete basic immunization certificates. Education of pregnant women, parents of babies/toddlers in optimizing Complete Basic Immunization has resulted in many changes in the knowledge of pregnant women and parents of babies/toddlers about what needs to be paid attention to in fulfilling health protection for children, especially regarding immunization.
