Abstract

Health and nutrition problems, especially anemia in pregnant women, are important issues in Indonesia, with serious impacts on the welfare of mothers and children. Although government programs have been implemented, the problem of anemia is still high in some areas, including in Puskesmas Martapura 1. This study aimed to improve pregnant women's knowledge and awareness of anemia and increase compliance in taking blood supplement tablets (TTD) through a health education and counseling program. The methods used involved surveys, counseling, and program evaluation.

The results of the program implementation showed that the counseling was successful in increasing pregnant women's knowledge about anemia and the importance of consuming TTD. The use of anemia prevention monitoring stickers in the MCH book also proved effective in monitoring pregnant women's compliance in consuming TTD. Program evaluation showed that all pregnant women had good knowledge after counseling, with a questionnaire score of 100%

conclusion, the anemia prevention monitoring sticker program for pregnant women can increase the knowledge and awareness of pregnant women about anemia, as well as improve compliance in consuming TTD. This program is important to be implemented sustainably with the support of related cross-sectors. Suggestions for future program development are to involve the role of husbands, families, and cadres more actively in supporting pregnant women in preventing anemia.
