Abstract

Physical disorders such as Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) can be experienced from toddlerhood to adulthood. MSDs have an impact on limitations in performing physical activities, such as lack of time and sports facilities, which also become obstacles. Patients with MSDs are usually brought to the family doctor late due to indifference towards health, where individuals ignore the early signs of MSDs and do not seek medical help, resulting in more difficult treatment. The lack of social support from the surrounding environment makes it difficult for individuals to make changes. The community in Banjarmasin also faces these health issues. Limited access to health information makes it challenging for the community to obtain adequate education about MSD prevention. The lack of knowledge about MSDs and their symptoms leads to ignorance about the risks of physical inactivity and unhealthy lifestyle habits. The community service conducted communication, information, and education activities to raise awareness about the risks of MSDs in physical activities. As a result, 15 people showed an increase in knowledge with an average post-test score of 39; 10 people were categorized as having good knowledge, and 5 people were categorized as having sufficient knowledge.
