Abstract

Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) is a condition where adolescent girls/women experience long-term and chronic malnutrition (calories and protein). The risk of chronic energy deficiency is a condition where adolescent girls/women have a LILA size of <23.5 cm [2]. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that the prevalence of Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) in pregnancy globally is 35-75%, which is significantly higher in the third trimester compared to the first and second trimesters of pregnancy. The method of implementing the activities held is refreshing cadres as companions for cadres caring for pregnant women with CED, as well as to improve the knowledge and skills of cadres. CED and anemia are risk factors for postpartum hemorrhage and Low Birth Weight (LBW). The purpose of this activity is to provide assistance to pregnant women with CED from pregnancy to postpartum by involving the participation of the community and family. Each cadre will receive a Cadre Refreshing with the intention of improving the knowledge and skills of cadres to always look after and monitor pregnant women in Masukau village, especially pregnant women with CED risk factors. Suggestions for this activity include cross-program cooperation with health centers, cross-sector cooperation with village officials, empowerment of cadres and families of pregnant women is very important so that every pregnant woman can have a healthy pregnancy and be free from the risk of KEK.
