Pulmonary tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis. In some cases, this infection can remain in a latent state before developing into active tuberculosis if the immune system is weakened. Based on prevalence data in 2020, it was found that the number of pulmonary TB patients in South Kalimantan was 6,616, in 2021 it was 4,140, while in 2022 there was an increase again to 6,736. In 2023, in Pejambuan Village there will be 2 people positive for tuberculosis and 30 people suspected of tuberculosis. In 2024, there will be 1 person positive for tuberculosis and 16 people suspected of tuberculosis. Temulawak has properties in increasing body endurance, increasing appetite, immunodilator and hepatoprotector and as an anti-inflammatory. The solution that can be provided is by carrying out the "Establishment and Development of Healthy Citizens in TB Villages" (ASSET DEBAT) program. This activity aims to form healthy citizens of the Pejambuan village free of tuberculosis (TB) with ginger plants, increasing health knowledge about the symptoms of tuberculosis, providing education. regarding tuberculosis in Pejambuan Village. This activity was carried out in Pejambuan Village, Sungai Tabuk 1 District, Banjar Regency for 1 month (08 January-04 February). education about the formation and development of healthy TB-free village residents (DEBAT ASSETS) and complementary therapy of the herbal medicinal plant ginger to help increase the body's endurance by processing it into ready-to-drink instant drinks (jamu). The educational media used are leaflets and handbooks. Hopefully this activity will make a meaningful contribution to increasing health information and public awareness in preventing TB and cultivating ginger plants to build citizens' immunity.
