PEMBERDAYAAN SUKARELAWAN PENGATUR LALU LINTAS (SUPELTAS) DALAM UPAYA MEWUJUDKAN MASYARAKAT SADAR TIMBAL DI JALAN RAYA

Abstract

The problem faced by partners is the danger of lead exposure on the road caused by air pollution and other free radicals that threaten the health of partners (traffic control volunteers) as well as other road users who spend a lot of their activities on the road. This activity is carried out with the aim of reducing the danger of lead on this highway, namely by empowering Traffic Management Volunteers (Supeltas) in an effort to create a lead awareness society on the road. Then to minimize the exposure of the community and traffic control volunteers (supeltas) to lead. As well as developing networks and communication with volunteer traffic controllers (supeltas). The method used in this community service is starting from interventions carried out by service providers to traffic control volunteers (supeltas) including providing education (socialization) for the dangers of lead, direct workshops for making natural antioxidants as traditional medicines that can reduce the danger of lead and providing masks and brochures on how to make natural antioxidants for the community through volunteer traffic controllers (supeltas). The next method is intervention by volunteer traffic controllers (supeltas) to road users by providing brief socialization (education) about the dangers of lead and distribution of masks and brochures containing information and an explanation of how to make natural antioxidants to road users to reduce or reduce exposure and hazards to lead on the road. The results obtained in this activity were partners (SUPELTAS) who could become reliable information agents to reduce the danger of lead on the road and minimize the exposure of the community and Traffic Management Volunteers (Supeltas) to lead.
