P Prenatal Gentle Yoga To Support Normal Labor

Pregnancy is a physiological condition. During pregnancy, discomfort occurs which is a result of the physiological adaptation process of the mother's body system to her pregnancy. Discomfort that is still within normal limits can become abnormal due to the mother's unpreparedness for carrying out her pregnancy. The changes that occur can even cause discomfort for the mother, such as back pain, sore legs, anxiety, and so on. One of the treatments for pregnancy is exercise. Pregnant women who exercise regularly report lower levels of discomfort during pregnancy and recover more quickly compared to those who do not exercise during pregnancy. A healthy pregnant mother will have an impact on optimal fetal development. Preparation for childbirth also begins during pregnancy. Prenatal yoga and relaxation are promotive and preventive efforts to improve maternal health so that they can adapt to physical and psychological changes during pregnancy and prepare for the birthing process. This service activity will be held in March 2023 at Sari Mulia University. The target of this activity is pregnant women, especially the third trimester, using a survey, lecture, discussion, demonstration/simulation approach method. The results obtained were that mothers were able to understand about prenatal yoga and its benefits and were able to do prenatal yoga regularly. It is recommended that the Community Health Center facilitate prenatal yoga
