C Contraceptional Device Counseling Using Flip Sheets ABPK

Abstract

One of the strategic issues and problems of controlling population quantity that must receive special attention, as stated in the 2015 - 2019 RPJMN, is the still high level of unmet need. The factor causing unmet need is suboptimal family planning counseling which is influenced by media use. In Indonesia, the tool used is ABPK with KB, but its use is not yet optimal and has the weakness of being less practical, so that the midwife's mastery of the structure and ability to carry out the steps in ABPK is still not optimal. Family planning counseling with ABPK is a face-to-face conversation or interview between the client and the counselor, which is held deliberately, with the aim of helping the client make decisions that suit their conditions and desires with the help of the ABPK feedback sheet. This ABPK feedback sheet helps clients choose and use the family planning method that best suits their needs and with ABPK provides important information needed to provide quality services. The media used is ABPK (Decision Making Tool). The method used in implementing this activity is the ONE GOAL step. The material presented is the meaning of contraception, various contraceptive methods, side effects, effectiveness, how it works and when to make a check-up visit if there is a problem. The number of WUS (Women of Childbearing Age) in the Terminal Health Center area is 48 people. The results of the implementation of family planning counseling services by midwives in the working areas of terminal health centers are mostly in the Good category (66.7%). The implementation of family planning counseling services by midwives in the Terminal Health Center area is mostly in the Good category (54.43%). The type of contraception used by clients in the Ngadiluwih area is mostly implants (66.67%). The type of contraception used by clients in the Terminal Health Center area is mostly implants (69.6%). It is hoped that the implementation of counseling will pay attention to the factors that influence the quality of counseling so that the goals of counseling can be realized well.
