The Maternal and Child Health (KIA) Program is a priority part of efforts to improve health status in Indonesia. Efforts by the Indonesian government that have been and are always being implemented include the Safe Motherhood program. The Safe Motherhood program is known for its 4 pillar concept, namely family planning, Antenatal Care (ANC), clean delivery, and handling the postpartum period. The government recommends carrying out a minimum of four Antenatal Care (ANC) visits for each pregnant woman. The number of visits is one in the first and second trimesters, then in the third trimester there are two visits. The lack of K1 and K4 coverage in the Babirik Community Health Center UPT area is caused by the shame and lack of knowledge of pregnant women as well as the minimal role of Posyandu cadres in terms of motivating pregnant women to make visits during their pregnancy.
