Abstract

Hypertension or high blood pressure is a persistent increase where the systolic blood pressure is more than 120 mm Hg or the diastolic blood pressure is more than 80 mmHg. Hypertension is now a major problem, not only in Indonesia but in the world, because hypertension is a risk factor for disease. The risk factors for CHD can be divided into two, namely the first are modifiable risk factors, namely hypertension, dyslipidemia, smoking, obesity, diabetes mellitus, physical activity, stress, and the second are risk factors that cannot be changed, namely age, gender and genetics. The method used is a field survey, the implementation stage is counseling the evaluation stage in the form of absences and the results of blood pressure measurements. The place of implementation is the Class II A Penitentiary (LP) Banjarmasin
